BEGINNER UKULELE WORKSHOP
The ukulele is known as the instrument of joy! Once you pick it up and get some fundamentals under your fingers you’ll be hooked! Try it out at our 2 hour Beginners Workshop!
Our Beginner Ukulele Workshop is an intensive 2 hour program designed to give you a real feel for what it's like to play the instrument of joy!
Absolutely NO musical background or experience is necessary for you to join this workshop.
You will learn a teeny tiny bit of fundamental music theory but it is all done experientially and we all work through it together leaving no one behind.
We discover all the important parts of the ukulele and how to tune your uke as well as:
The fundamentals of strumming and how to get a really nice sound out of your uke
Basic ukulele technique and playing in the "sweet spot"
How to read chord charts including about 8-10 basic chords
Up to 6 songs including an easy version of Somewhere Over The Rainbow!
The skills to enable you to start playing your own favourite songs
The 2 hour Beginner Workshop fee is $99.
This cost covers your 2 hour lesson plus your Course Workbook .
There are no refunds or makeup classes for missed lessons. If you postpone your enrolment to a future course within 5 days of the start date, or after you have commenced a course, you will incur a $20 administration fee.
Our next Beginner Workshop is scheduled to go ahead from 2pm-4pm on Saturday 4th December.
Unless restrictions prevent this workshop from going ahead, the session will be held in the Ellery Room at the Seaforth Anglican Church (3 Frenchs Forest Rd, Seaforth).
If we are in lockdown conditions again, the workshop will either be run via Zoom online conference or postponed until an alternative date.
